Comprehensive Development

At Burnaby Lake Rowing Club, we provide young athletes with a comprehensive and holistic approach to rowing development. Our program offers juniors a dynamic and nurturing environment where they can thrive both as athletes and individuals. Our comprehensive development program caters to beginners learning the basics, as well as seasoned competitors striving for elite-level performance. Through structured training programs, athletes receive personalized instruction, technical guidance, and performance feedback.

Holistic Development

Beyond athletic achievements, we emphasize the importance of holistic development, focusing on the physical, mental, and personal growth of each athlete. We believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who not only excel in rowing, but also demonstrate resilience, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities.

Our balanced approach integrates physical fitness, mental resilience, and character development, preparing juniors for success both on and off the water.

Why join our community?

At the heart of our junior rowing program are core values that shape everything we do, both on and off the water. These values serve as guiding principles, inspiring our athletes to uphold integrity, foster teamwork, maintain balance, and nurture their passion for rowing.

Integrity: Integrity is non-negotiable in our program, and we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards at all times. We believe in honesty, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Teamwork: Rowing is the ultimate team sport, requiring coordination, communication, and collaboration to succeed. We believe in the power of teamwork to achieve common goals, overcome challenges, and forge lifelong bonds.

Balance: We recognize the importance of balance in our athletes' lives -- balancing the demands of training and competition with academics, family, and personal well-being. We encourage our athletes to maintain a healthy balance between their rowing pursuits and other aspects of their lives.

Passion: Passion fuels our pursuit of excellence and drives us to give our all every time we step into the boat. We are passionate about rowing -- about the thrill of competition, the beauty of the water, and the camaraderie of the team.

Join our community today and experience the transformative power of rowing united by shared values and a shared love for the sport. Youth LTR is a prerequisite for the Junior Program.
